near Paris’s Champs-Elysées

The Champs-Élysées is incontestably the most famous avenue in Paris. It stretches from Place de la Concorde to Place Charles-de-Gaulle in the Eighth arrondissement , just a ten-minute walk from the hotel. It is part of the "Axe Historique", Paris's historic major route between the Louvre and the La Défense arch. At one end of the Champs-Élysées, you will find the famous Arc de Triomphe, built by Napoleon I from 1806 as homage to the victories of the French army. From its roof, you will be treated to a stunning view of the capital.

Parc Monceau is located just a seven-minute walk away from the hotel. It is the ideal place for walking or jogging in Paris. History buffs may be interested to know that in 1769, the Duke of Chartres (the future Duke of Orléans) bought the land to create " a place of pleasure , suitable for parties and shows " . It is juxtaposed with 17 other monuments from throughout the ages and throughout the world: an obelisk, a minaret, an Egyptian pyramid, a Roman temple and more.
The park was seized after the Revolution, becoming property of the state and a place for the district's high society to take walks. Incidentally, it was the inspiration for several famous painters: Monet, Gustave Caillebotte and Georges Braque.

Originally, the Musée Jacquemart-André was a private mansion commissioned by Edouard André, a keen art collector from a rich family of bankers. The mansion was built and completed in 1875 by architect Henri Parent on Boulevard Haussmann.
It became the residence for André and his wife, Nélie Jacquemart, who dedicated their lives to their shared passion: buying works of art with the aim of exhibiting them to the general public. Today, it is a museum with large exhibition rooms, private apartments, an Italian museum and a winter garden.
